Uproar Theatre present Huw Brentnall’s (winner Best Screenplay at Kino Festival) London stage debut

Abigail and Georgia return home to find a burglar in their North London flat. After some rash decisions, they both must deal with the consequences. As the walls start to close in, their night turns from bad to worse.

Suddenly, Abigail and Georgia have a chance to change the narrative. But will they take it?

Darkly comic, and strikingly surreal, the narrative of ‘What a Palaver’ finds the boundary of what is moral and what is not. This play examines what can happen when we lose touch with our humanity, and sticks two fingers up at a modern society that increasingly inhabits a safely grey area.

Writer Brentnall said, ‘I truly believe that you can tackle large themes and big questions in a manner that isn’t dry or pessimistic. What a Palaver takes an audience on a moral journey that is also entertaining. But above all else, this play is optimistic about the inherent good in the people around us.’
